The Archdiocese of Kingston is part of the worldwide Catholic Church with its headquarters in Rome, Italy. There are three dioceses in Jamaica, each headed by a bishop. The head of the Archdiocese of Kingston is Archbishop Kenneth Richards, a Jamaican, who was appointed in 2016. He has appointed several vicars, each with his own area of responsibility. There are also other staff positions in the archbishop’s office. He has also established a number of commissions to oversee important aspects of the Church’s mission.
